Unlike traditional fast-roping or welding gloves that require operators to switch hand protection after descent, both the Charon and Pluto models are designed to seamlessly transition from insertion to engagement.
With anatomical palm design and a tactile shooting finger, these gloves support:
-
Trigger control
-
Weapon manipulation
-
Fine motor function
So whether you're roping into a tight urban grid or wet jungle terrain, you're always ready to engage.
W+R Pro Charon: Built for Wet Ops & Rotor Wash
When rain or rotor wash saturates the rope, many gloves lose their grip — not the Charon.
Specifically engineered for wet insertions and maritime or rain-exposed operations, the Charon features:
-
Sharktec® nanotech 3D palm for wet grip
-
Reverse goat grain leather for friction and control
-
Volcano-Technology interior for heat dissipation and grip stability
-
Kevlar® reinforcements with silicon-carbon coating to resist heat and burns
From waterborne insertions to coastal cliff rescues, the Charon provides enhanced braking capacity and control when every second counts.
W+R Pro Pluto: Speed, Braking, and Protection in One
Designed for controlled abseiling and fast-roping from helicopters and buildings, the Pluto features:
-
Volcano-Technology 3D palm for maximum rope control
-
Sharktec-FR nanotechnology for speed adjustment and braking
-
Kevlar® and Nomex® construction for cut, flame, and abrasion resistance
-
Thermal air cushions to protect against heat build-up
Its intuitive design prevents rope twist and offers a firm, controlled descent even in intense urban or field operations.
